About the employer

The company Research Center for Non Destructive Testing GmbH (RECENDT), which used to be the research department for sensor technology of Upper Austrian Research GmbH, became an independent company in early 2009. Its shareholders are Upper Austrian Research GmbH (74%), Johannes Kepler University Linz (20%) and FH OÖ Forschungs und Entwicklungs GmbH (6%).

RECENDT GmbH is an internationally renowned research center that is highly successful in the field of material characterization and non-destructive material testing. In 2009, RECENDT was awarded the contract to become a non-university Christian Doppler laboratory (CD-lab) for photoacoustics and laser ultrasonics – a major landmark for the company, as RECENDT operates one of only two non-university CD-labs in Austria. Its excellent work was honored with the special award for research at the 2010 Innovation Awards of the federal state of Upper Austria. Furthermore, RECENDT is participating in several national and international research projects, such as the PAC (Process Analytical Chemistry) project and the FP7 EU projects ENCOMB and InsideFood.
