Über den Arbeitgeber

The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is a mission-driven Research and Technology Organisation (RTO) active in the fields of materials, environment and IT.
LIST develops competitive and market-oriented product/service prototypes for public and private stakeholders, and works across the entire innovation chain: fundamental/applied research, incubation, transfer of technologies.
By transforming scientific knowledge into technologies, smart data and tools, LIST empowers citizens in their choices, public authorities in their decisions and businesses in their strategies

Ecological innovation
The Environmental Research and Innovation department (ERIN) provides the interdisciplinary knowledge, expertise and technologies to lead on solutions including major environmental challenges such as climate change mitigation, ecosystem resilience, sustainable energy systems, efficient use of renewable resources, and environmental pollution prevention/control.
With 170 life science, environmental science and information technology researchers and engineers, ERIN is positioned as a major contributor in implementing LIST's Smart Cities, Smart Space and Smart Manufacturing programmes, and in rolling out the Government’s circular economy strategy

Digital innovation
The IT for Innovative Services department (ITIS) focuses on the digital transformation of operations occurring in organizations within traditional environments and digital ecosystems with the aim of improving their performance and innovation capacity.
With 110 researchers and engineers, ITIS ‘s common thread is to develop the most efficient use of big data to ensure the most appropriate decision-making process, as well as to place emphasis on implementing LIST’s Smart Cities, Smart Space, Smart Manufacturing and Smart Finance programmes

Material innovation
The Materials Research and Technology department (MRT) contributes to the emergence of enabling technologies that underpin the innovation processes of local and international industry. Its activities hinge on nanomaterials/nanotechnology, sustainable composite materials and manufacturing, as well as process technologies including scientific instrumentation.
With 160 researchers and engineers, MRT sports two high-tech platforms opened to LIST researchers as well as other Luxembourg stakeholders: composites, and characterization/testing. The department also leverages its charged particle beam expertise through the development of new nano-imaging and nano-analysis technologies.
