The European Research University is currently primarily an economically oriented institution, offering academic degrees predominantly in the fields of economics, economic policy, business, administration and management. Our research activity is therefore largely aligned with these disciplines. A key priority is to pursue socially relevant research with tangible impact, which is effectively integrated into our teaching. We also actively involve students in research from undergraduate level onwards.
In addition, a significant area of academic engagement at ERUNI is the field of law. A number of legal professionals contribute to our teaching and research, either as members of staff or external collaborators. Moreover, we are increasingly engaged in a broader spectrum of the social sciences and the humanities. Our research extends to educational science, sociology, psychology, ethics, religious studies, and philosophy. We regard these fields as essential to a comprehensive understanding of contemporary society, and they provide a valuable complement to our economic and legal expertise.
To support our international research agenda, ERUNI has established the European Research College (ERC) - a decentralised network of independent research hubs operating under foreign legal frameworks. The ERC fosters international collaboration, supports access to funding opportunities, and advances high-quality research across disciplines and national contexts.
We warmly welcome scholars from around the world to join our research efforts, whether in senior academic roles or through postdoctoral positions.
