The Department of Economics and Management (DEM) of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg is looking for a Postdoctoral researcher to conduct research in Econometrics. The postdoctoral researcher will be working under the supervision of Professor Gautam TRIPATHI.

Your role

  • Research in microeconometrics - theoretical or applied, with a focus on methodology
  • Writing academic papers for publication in peer reviewed journals and participating in conferences
  • Participating actively in the academic life of the department, e.g., seminars and workshops, and interacting with members of the Empirical Methods Group and PhD students doing applied work
  • Assist with teaching activities, one to three hours a week and contribute to tutoring students

Your profile

  • PhD in Economics, e.g., last 5 years, with a specialization in Microeconometrics
  • Strong interest in methodological issues in microeconometrics, machine learning, high-dimensional models
  • Proven ability to autonomously conduct research at a post-doctoral level
  • Proven ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Fluency in English is required
