Job description

The candidate must demonstrate:

- a high level of scientific knowledge in chemistry;

- knowledge of laboratory practices in the field of chemistry;

- an ability to integrate well into the teaching team;

- punctuality and reliability in the performance of logistical tasks.

The candidate will participate in the supervision of tutorials and practical work associated with the various chemistry courses in Block 1 in Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Dental Sciences and Veterinary Medicine: inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry and practical chemistry work.

As part of the doctoral thesis that he/she will be writing at the same time, he/she will conduct research that will be part of the activities of a laboratory at the ULB Faculty of Medicine.

An Assistant position is granted for an initial term of two years, renewable after consultation with the relevant bodies for two further periods of up to two years on a full-time basis. As the objective of the Assistant position is to conduct and complete a doctoral thesis, tasks will be divided equally between “Teaching” and “Research”. These may be reviewed at regular intervals.

Required educational level: Master level in chemistry or in biomedical sciences and meet PhD access conditions
