Join the Ziegenhain lab, part of the Division of Medical systems bioengineering (https://ki.se/en/mbb/research-division-of-medical-systems-bioengineering) at the department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics. In our group we are interested in shedding light on central molecular processes in human cells, in particular with regards to the control of alternative splicing of transcribed mRNAs. For this, we develop and employ cutting edge single-cell sequencing and computational approaches.
The successful candidate will be working as a research assistant in projects aiming to decode alternative splicing mechanisms using single cell genomics. The research assistant will be an active member of the research group and support ongoing projects in the laboratory.
We are recruiting an enthusiastic research assistant to work on exciting challenges in single cell genomics. The ideal candidate should have obtained a MSc degree in biotechnology, molecular biology or a related field. We are looking for candidates with solid experience in wet lab work.
Candidates should be familiar with common molecular biology techniques and be comfortable with independent lab work. Experience with liquid handlers or in NGS/genomics work is meriting.
All candidates must be able to fluently communicate in written and spoken English as well as demonstrate good team work skills.
