Your role
The successful candidate will become a member of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust within the TruX Research Team.
Supervision team:
- Tegawendé BISSYANDE: Chief scientist at TruX
- Jacques KLEIN: Chief scientist at TruX
The main tasks will be to:
- Shape research directions and produce results on fundamental research problems
- Attract funding in cooperation with industrial partners
- Participate in proposal writing for national, European and international research bodies
- Coordinate research projects and deliver outputs
- Disseminate results through scientific publications, focusing on the KPIs of the SnT and of TruX
- Provide guidance to PhD and MSc students
- Participate to the teaching activities allocated to the team
- Provide support in setting up and running experimental environments for the TruX team
- Participate in organizing relevant workshops and demonstrations
Your profile
- A PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory
Further:
- Competitive research record in software engineering focusing on one or more of the following topics:
- Static and dynamic software analysis, including expertise in mobile app analysis
- Software engineering for software security, including mobile security
- Machine learning for software engineering and software security
- Consistent competitive research record with publications in top conferences and journals (e.g., ICSE, FSE, TOSEM, etc.)
- Proven track record of strong service commitment to the research community
- Proven track record of contribution to national/international projects and/or industrial project acquisition
- Proven track record in publicly releasing research artifacts and actionable tools
- Strong background in static program analysis, both practical and with deep understanding of the fundamental theory and upcoming challenges
- Strong expertise with existing static and dynamic analysis frameworks, such as Soot, FlowDroid, etc
- Proven track record of teaching activities in the related areas described above
- Experience with machine learning algorithms
- Extensive development skills in Python, Java, Bash, and C/C++
- Commitment, team working and a critical mind
- Proven record of student supervision in research activities
