Job Offer: The University of Geneva, Geneva School of Economics and Management (GSEM), is recruiting a Research/Teaching Assistant for its Institute of Management (IoM).
Location: Geneva, Switzerland
Job Description: We are active in research, teaching, and executive education (see https://www.unige.ch/gsem/en/research/faculty/all/sebastian-raisch/). Our current research is focused on artificial intelligence and its implications for organizations and society. You would collaborate closely with a team of researchers who publish impactful studies in highly ranked international academic journals. Aside from research, you would work with our students during our teaching activities and coach them in their project work.
Candidate Profile: You must hold a master’s degree and should be interested in pursuing a PhD in management. We are looking for a candidate with excellent analytical abilities, strong communication skills, and exceptional intellectual curiosity. You should have some prior working experience in companies or organizations. Excellent English language skills are essential; knowledge of French is a plus, but not required. Some experience with statistical programs such as STATA / R or qualitative research experience would be helpful.
Starting Date: December 2019 (or to be discussed)
Further Information: The selected candidate will initially have a one-year can do contract at 70% and also an auxiliary assistant contract at 30%. The position is then renewable and has a maximum duration of 4 years. The first 3 months constitute a trial period during which both parties can terminate the work agreement with a month’s notice. The contract will be financed by private funds (FNS).
