Job description

Thematic and research challenges

The economy is strongly impacted by the digital transition, a factor of innovation and structuring of markets around large platforms, but also a factor of major social and societal changes. The digital economy is linked in particular to the use and governance of personal and non-personal data. To analyse these changes, it is essential to develop a multidisciplinary approach in which economics is combined with law and geopolitics, and of course with the consideration of technical issues.

This is the meaning of the activities carried out within the 'Network Systems, Cybersecurity and Digital Law' department on the Rennes campus. By focusing on European and international issues and on the role of platforms, the department organises its work around a specific theme - the digital environment - and a cross-cutting and unifying theme - the governance of personal and non-personal data. It is also planned to develop the economic and managerial approach to cybersecurity, as a sector, but also as a cost component for companies. A strengthening of research on platforms is also an objective, to analyse the link between business models and regulation, particularly in the context of data processing.

Eco-system and context

IMT Atlantique internationally recognized for the quality of its research, is a leading technological university under the authority of the Ministry of Industry and Digital Technologies, ranked in the three main international rankings (THE, SHANGHAI, QS).

The position is open on the campus of Rennes within the SRCD (Network Systems, Cybersecurity and Digital Law) department.

- data, making it available and sharing it

- the security of systems and networks.
