YOUR TASKS

The Flemish Centre of Expertise in Suicide Prevention (VLESP), within the Department of Head and Skin, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, is looking for a scientific employee. VLESP is the partner organization of the Flemish Government regarding suicide prevention in Flanders. An important mission of VLESP is the development and implementation of evidence-based suicide prevention methods. Your tasks consist of data collection, processing and reporting; evaluation of  the Flemish Action Plan for Suicide Prevention; policy support and advice with regard to prevention methods.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- You have a degree of Master in Criminological Sciences

- You have experience with data collection, processing and reporting

- You have knowledge of evidence-based prevention methods, preferably in suicide prevention

- You can work well independently, as well as in a team.

- Previous experience with research into suicidal behavior and its prevention is recommended

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

• - We offer you a contract of definite duration for of maximum of 2 years which cannot be renewed. 
• - Your contract will start on 15/06/2020 at the earliest.
• - Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale WM1 to WM4 (if you hold a Master’s degree) or salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate).  Click here for more information about our salary scales.
