for a project on Next Generation Nanotherapeutics
In an interdisciplinary collaboration with the Nanoparticle Systems Engineering Lab at ETH Zurich, the Laboratory for Particles-Biology Interactions and the Empa Laboratory for Magnetic and Functional Thin Films, we seek to create tomorrow's therapies and decisively contribute to precision medicine by harnessing nanotechnology. We work in close collaboration with clinical partners to bring conceptionally novel solutions to clinical application.
We are excited to receive applications from candidates with profound hands-on background in microfabrication and upscaling (specifically (E)UV photolithography, ion etching and ion milling) who are interested in joining this ambitious endeavor and make a true impact together with us. Candidates from degree programs at universities or universities of applied sciences and experience in an academic or industrial setting are invited to apply. Due to the high interdisciplinarity of this multi-partner project, excellent communication skills and good command of English are a must. The position is limited to two years.
We offer a highly stimulating research environment in the Empa laboratories in Dübendorf/Zurich, the Binnig and Rohrer Nanotechnology Center at IBM, ETH Zurich and other microfabrication laboratories with excellent infrastructure to fabricate and characterize properties of magnetic thin films systems and particle-bio-systems interaction, respectively.
